The well-known holiday resort Meiringen with shopping facilities and restaurants is 6 km away from the holiday home. Both holiday flats have been freshly renovated with much love and sensitivity. A bijou for beautiful living. The region Meiringen/Hasliberg offers a lot in summer and winter - for families as well as for couples. Various hiking possibilities such as the well-known Muggenstutzweg and Kugelweg for families, the Grimsel and Susten area for experienced mountain hikers. Other excursion destinations such as the suspension bridge on the Grimsel, the Aare Gorge, the Ballenberg Museum or Lake Brienz with the Rothorn cable car provide great variety. The nearby Hasliberg ski area offers a wide variety of alpine pistes as well as a cross-country ski trail. The ski school and Skihäsliland provide unforgettable winter experiences for all ages.

Discover the rural culture of yesteryear! Visit more than 100 residential and farm buildings from all over Switzerland – impressive farmhouses, day labourers’ humble dwellings, alpine settlements complete with stables, barns, storehouses and washhouses.  As well as all the craftsmanship and typical tools and farm animals from the period. The historic buildings were carefully dismantled, transported and rebuilt on the 66 hectares at the Ballenberg  museum park area.

About the location

Meiringen-Hasliberg is a popular holiday destination in the Bernese Oberland. The Haslital valley lies between the Brünig, Grosse Scheidegg, Susten and Grimsel Alpine passes. Families are always welcome here and well-served all round with lots of sports and leisure possibilities. Culturally there’s lots to discover as well – people living in this region at the heart of Switzerland are dedicated to preserving their traditions and customs.
In the winter, Meiringen-Hasliberg is a favourite winter sports area. 15 ski installations transport winter sports enthusiast up to an altitude of 2245 meters. Several cross-country trails, snow-shoe tracks, toboggan runs as well as an extensive network of winter hiking paths complete the range of winter offers. In the summer, holiday guests can enjoy over 300 km of signposted hiking trails and as many biking routes. The «Muggestutz» adventure trail in nearby Hasliberg whisks young and old away into the mystical world of the  Hasli dwarves.
