The lively and popular Adriatic seaside resort of Lido di Pomposa is located directly by the sea in the Comacchio lagoon. In Bologna, we marvel at the oldest European university and in Ravenna we can admire early Christian and Byzantine mosaics with UNESCO World Heritage status. The region, with its uniquely charming landscape, slopes down from the river Po plains over softly rolling hills and glorious vineyards down to the Adriatic coast. In the Abruzzo National Park native plants find shelter and refuge.
