For you, we have totally re-built this Reka classic – spacious, drenched in natural light, and with a modern design. 49 flats with balconies or terrasses and 2 hotel rooms await you.
7 residential buildings and a main building with reception, restaurant, Rekalino children’s paradise and children's playroom as well as a two-level covered car park. At this spacious facility you’ll find everything you need to complete your flat and contribute to successful holidays. For example, the self-service, grotto style «Osteria» restaurant for your breakfast and evening meal with indoor and outdoor seating under the pergola. Here you can choose pizza, pasta and all the wonderful Ticino cuisine’s specials. Or freshly-prepared takeaway offers, a cool drink, a gelato or a light snack from the kiosk selection. You can simply add your breakfast or half-board as extras together with your accommodation booking. Enjoy your time in the «Piscina Panoramica», the extensive Infinity Pool with an unlimited view over the lake. Or relax at the wellness facility in the Finnish sauna, steam bath and quiet room – the highlight you can book exclusively as your «Private Spa» for 1.5 hours (at a fee). Location
The village square forms the centre which serves – in a typically Mediterranean way – as a meeting place for young and old and a large playground for children. A little stream flows through the facility and invites you to linger, have a picnic or enjoy a barbecue in the open air. The Holiday Village is directly linked up with local public transport by the bus-stop right in front of the entrance.
Sustainability and Accessibility for the disabled
CO2 neutral, climate protection, care with resources, regional focus and accessibility for people with disabilities are of much concern to us. The new construction was conceived and built according the SIA Energy Efficiency Pathway and respects the highest modern ecological standards, including a strict environmental concept for waste, water, noise, air and soil. Our newest Holiday Village is set to be a place for everyone, without exception. 20 barrier-free flats and outdoor areas are ready and the whole pool area (with mobile swimming pool lift for people with disabilities) is also totally accessible.

An outdoor pool and 2 children’s paddling pools with a slide, loungers and parasols (open between March and October - depending on the weather).

Swimming lessons for children
In the course, children are taught in groups of a similar ability level. Our highly qualified instructors accompany children from the age of 4 as they learn the basics of swimming and gradually introduce them to the techniques of crawl, back crawl and breaststroke. The courses take place during the summer holidays.

Monte Brè
It's worth making the trip here just for the views of the city and Lake Lugano. Funicular railways run in two sections from the edge of Lugano to Monte Brè, the scenic mountain above the lake basin and the vibrant city. Descents down to Lugano or the lake, always via the Brè village, are in part pretty steep, as are the nature and archaeological trail to Gandria.
Swiss customs museum
The Swiss Customs Museum is to be found in an old border guard post, directly on the banks of the lake only a few metres away from the Swiss-Italian border. A visit to the museum may be ideally combined with a walk through the picturesque surroundings or a meal in one of the nearby caves where you can enjoy the best Ticino fare. There are also picnic areas alongside the museum.
Lido di Lugano
Like the old bathing huts, it was originally built in homely wood: The "Lido di Lugano" bathing establishment on the shores of Lake Lugano. The large bathing complex was later supplemented by a modern outdoor pool with an Olympic pool and 10-metre diving platform. Today, the baths have two parts: a sporty, lively swimming pool and a cosy lido that is more geared towards relaxation and leisure. The beautifully renovated lido has also succeeded in largely preserving the charm of the old Lido.
Splash & Spa Tamaro
Covering over 10,000 square metres, the "Splash e Spa Tamaro" offers a galactic selection of adventures and sensory pleasures all year round. Under the main dome, the fun dome and the spa and wellness dome, the name says it all. And in the outdoor area, 85 attractions await guests - as well as an enchanting view of the Monte Tamaro adventure mountain. Reka-Pay acceptance point.

Bei der Anmeldung hatten wir sehr schwer!!!Wir haben etwas in Reka bezahlt, dann kam erneut eine Rechnung, mit dem Gesamten Aufenthaltsbetrag nochmals!!! Ich forderte eine Rechnung für den Restbetrag!!! Dafür telefoniete ich dreimal!!!! Es hiess , ich solle bei der Post den QR Kode abändern lassen!!! Dann sagte ich mach ich nicht!!!!!!!!!!!! Bis ich schlussendlich eine Akzeptalbe, und erlösende Antwort bekam, ob sie mir einen neutralen Einzahlungsschein senden soll!!!!!! ENDLICH!!! Doch was uns auch störte, hatten uns ja im April angemeldet, und gleich musste der ganze Betrag voll bezahlt werden!!!! Ist uns nicht einmal in einem für uns undbekanntes Hotel vorgekommen , ein halbes Jahr voraus alles schon bezahlen muss!!!

Location & directions
Lugano-Albonago nestles in a bay on Lake Lugano, in the sunniest corner of Switzerland. The largest town in the Ticinese holiday region lives with a Mediterranean flair! Lugano is characterized by breath-taking views of the mountains, the pedestrianized old town and the vicinity of mountains and lakes.
Lugano-Albonago is the perfect departure point to discover the surrounding area by public transport or using the extensive network of hiking and biking trails. You can reach the town or the lido on foot in just a few minutes or by bus from the stop just in front of the facility. A very varied cultural programme offers numerous museums and events all year round. Longer excursions further afield from Lugano are worthwhile. For example, to the lively cities or the spectacular, craggy valleys of Northern Italy, touring through the idyllic villages and typical vineyards of the Sopra- and Sottoceneri or exploring the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Bellinzona, Meride or Mendrisio.
Hikers, cyclists, bike racing buffs, golfers, yachtswomen, gourmets, racing drivers, nature enthusiasts and culture lovers … Ticino brings a smile to everybody’s face! Favourite destinations in the Sopraceneri region are the southern foothills of the Alps, the medieval castles in Bellinzona, Locarno with the international film festival, the markets in neighbouring Italy and the romantic Maggia and Verzasca valleys. The Sottoceneri region around fashionable Lugano offers lakes and mountains, culture, first-class musical events, culinary highlights as well as great shopping opportunities. The southern part of the canton is particularly interesting for anyone looking for the perfect combination of urbanity and nature.
Ticino attracts visitors with its southern charm and sub-tropical vegetation unique to these parts. In Switzerland’s “sun lounge” you’ll enjoy the particularly mild climate from spring right through until late autumn.
Directions
Arrival by train
Take the main exit at the station and walk to the ‘Lugano Stazione’ bus stop. From there, take bus no. 5 ‘Viganello, S.Siro’ to the Viganello, Villa Costanza stop. From there, take bus no. 10 directly to Albonago.
Arrival by car
Leave the motorway at Lugano Nord. At the roundabout, take the third exit towards Gandria, Lugano. After the tunnel, continue in the direction of Lugano. At the crossing with the traffic lights, turn left towards Gandria, Pregassona (you will see brown hotel signs for “Villagio Reka”). At Migros, make a 90-degree turn to the right. After another 300m, turn left into Via Cassone. At the next crossing, turn right into via Guioni (attention: 30 zone). At the end of the road, turn right again down to the roundabout of San Siro, where you take the second exit towards Albonago, Bré, then after another 300m turn left again towards Albonago, Centro Reka. Follow the road for 800m.
