Overview
The facility
This residence is situated on a large, car-free plot (230 ha) in a large park (3 ha) with olive trees, holm oaks and oleander bushes. At the center of the complex is the Sant'Anna residence with 178 apartments of various sizes. In the center of the park is the Napoleonic villa of Sant'Anna with bar, TV room, sauna, shower and changing rooms. The restaurant "Il Giardino degli Aranci" is located in a "Hortus conclusus" with orange, lemon and pomegranate trees. Natural well-being with shiatsu, relaxation, toning, drainage and foot massages (for a fee). Reception, laundry facilities (for a fee), free Wi-Fi, parking. The ideal place where the little ones can play freely and the adults can relax carefree.
Location: In the gulf of Portoferraio. Bagnaia 300 m away. Well connected by public transport.
Bathing: Swimming pool with sun loungers and parasols, children's pool (not heated), swimming cap obligatory. 400 m from the pebble beach of Bagnaia. Sun loungers and parasols for hire on the beach (bookable and payable on site).
Family-friendly: Huge garden, small playground, mini club (4-10 years, open during high season).
Leisure/sports: Pilates. For a fee: 2 tennis courts. Nearby through external providers: Sailing courses, windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking, snorkeling and diving.

Schöne Anlage, aber im Oktober nicht mehr attraktiv

Für Ferien im Oktober nicht geeignet, zu vieles ist bereits geschlossen oder nicht mehr verfügbar. Ausserdem haben auch die Elbaner selber mit der grossen Feuchtigkeit im Herbst zu kämpfen, das Problem ist also bekannt. Das Raumklima im Appartement ist sehr unangenehm, man hat jeden Abend das Gefühl, in feuchte Laken liegen zu müssen und man friert so sehr schnell.

About the location
The bustling centre of Elba, Portoferraio, is not only the capital of the island, but of the entire Tuscan archipelago. In the wide, natural harbor the ferries from the mainland and with them most holidaymakers dock. The beautiful old town with its stairways and medieval fortifications is situated on a rocky promontory.
About the region
The coast of Elba is rich in hidden beaches, enchanting bays and unspoilt landscapes. The island has a subtropical climate due to special sea and air currents and is ideal for bathing holidays in spring or late autumn.
Directions
From the Swiss border: Chiasso - Milan and before Parma direction Cisa Pass - La Spezia - Rosignano (or via Gr. St. Bernard - Alessandria - Genova - La Spezia -Rosignano). From Rosignano Superstrada "Via Aurelia" to exit "Piombino". In Piombino go towards the port where you embark and take the ferry to the port of Portoferraio.
From Portoferraio go out of the city and at the third traffic circle turn left towards Porto Azzurro. After about 5 km you will reach a crossroads where you turn left towards Bagnaia. This road goes along the gulf of Portoferraio and ends after about 5 km in Bagnaia. At the entrance of the village you have to turn immediately to the right, inland, and after 400 m you will be in front of Residenza Sant'Anna.
Arrival by public transport: By train to Piombino Marittima. Take the ferry to Portoferraio. From Portoferraio by bus or by cab (about 15 min.).
