Reka Holidays are possible in spite of coronavirus

All of Reka’s Holiday Homes and other accommodation in Switzerland and as well as Center Parcs are open.

Safe and sound holidays

Generally speaking, appropriate protective measures have been implemented everywhere and operational restrictions may arise. Reka follows the public authorities’ recommendations extremely attentively. With your booking documents you receive all information about your holiday residence as well as precautions and measures. Current social distancing rules will be safeguarded in public areas such as swimming pools, fitness centres and games rooms. Hand hygiene is still extremely important. 

From October 19, 2020, face masks are compulsory in all public areas throughout Switzerland. This is also valid for all Reka Holiday resorts with the exception of individual guest rooms/flats and sports and fitness facilities’ training areas. The rule does not apply however to children prior to their 12th birthday or persons who can prove that for specific, particularly medical reasons, they cannot wear a face mask.

Planning holidays is challenging and shrouded in uncertainty for all of us given the current Covid-19 situation. Reka Holiday homes offer the optimal solution for safe holidays. Should you wish to cancel your holidays nevertheless, we offer you the following fair cancelation conditions for the 2020/21 winter holidays (arrivals from 11.12.20 to 03.04.2021). For all bookings with an arrival date from 04.04.2021 the normal  Reka | Rental Terms and Conditions apply.

Reka Holiday Villages and Resorts

Cancelation: according to Reka | Rental Terms and Conditions.
Re-booking: Possible up to 10 days prior to arrival with the cost of the CHF 50.- processing fee. (If the new booking costs less than the previous payment, you will receive a Reka Holidays voucher worth the difference, valid for a booking date in the next 2 years.

If, on account of official travel restrictions, arrival from your own country or the return trip to Switzerland is not possible (except for quarantine regulations and illness):
Cancelation: Possible with a CHF 50.00 processing fee. Refund of the payment already made.
Re-booking: free of charge.

Due to the decisions of the Federal Council of 13.01.2021, no more than 5 persons may meet. The following regulation applies to bookings with more than 5 persons:
Re-booking: possible at any time with the cost of the CHF 50.- processing fee.
If re-booking is not possible: Reka Holidays voucher of the booking value minus the cost of the CHF 50.- processing fee.

Kindly get in touch with the central rental office via ferien@reka.ch together with the contract number and your required holiday dates and destination.

Information concerning AXA travel insurance
For existing bookings with the conclusion of a travel insurance policy, which do not yet have a specific Corona exclusion, the following condition applies;
AXA will pay the cancellation costs for holidays and travel to countries for which travel restrictions / travel warnings apply, at the earliest 30 days before the start of the trip. Cancellation costs are also covered if travel restrictions are suddenly imposed again due to a second wave. If a country imposes entry restrictions (border, quarantine) up to a certain date, Axa will cover the cancellation costs of trips commencing before that date. If someone falls ill with Corona and is therefore unable to travel, this is generally covered, even for contracts with the additional condition Corona.
